Where do we begin with Betty !?!? Betty was found crawling on the interstate two years ago by her mom. Betty was heartworm positive and appeared to be a discarded hunting dog . Betty's new mom took her in even though she had her hands full with a bunch of other Rescue dogs and cats , she just could not leave her there. Betty's mom trained her to be a house dog and companion over the few years. Betty's mom came to the shelter in need of help...she is now a flood victim and needed help until she could get back on her feet . We stepped in and offered to take Betty and find her a new home to love her the rest of her days . Many of the animals Betty's mom has taken in animals with behaviors that just wouldn't do well in a shelter but, not sweet Betty. Betty is now heartworm negative ,spayed , current on her annual vaccines , will be microchipped, and weighs approximately 25-30 lbs . Betty is 9 years old now and does well with cats and dogs .
