Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shanny lived her entire life in a small bathroom before coming to WarmFuzzys. She is now in foster care and doing very well. She is also Feline Leukemia Positive however the vets believe that given the proper care it is very possible that she can beat the virus. The following is from Shanny's foster mom: Shanny is my foster kitty (1 of 3). Shanny's picture doesn't do her justice. She is much cuter in 'person'. I'd love to place her in a home with another cat or dog, because she is a social cat. She gets along well with my foster cats and my dog - loves my dog and has managed to befriend my foster cat (Trixi) that growled and hissed at her initially - she is not intimidated. She is inquisitive and loves to have her face rubbed. She does talk a little, but not much. She uses the litterbox and hasn't shown any signs of being other than a normal cat. She loves the cardboard-style scratching posts - I have a couple and often finding her sitting on top of them or scratching them - she also uses a vertical carpetted post I have. She is a big baby about having her nails trimmed, but I trim them every couple of weeks. She isn't a lying around cat, but likes to be near me - she will sleep on the bed with me and sits on the vanity watching me when I get ready in the morning (I say she is my personal assistant!). She loves to be combed, yet doesn't shed much - the least of my pets. When I first got her, she wanted to try out the table tops, but has learned not to. She is a great cat and will make a wonderful pet. According to Joyce, Shanny is short for Shantung which means 'silk', because of her soft fur. I work during the day, but I can be reached at my home (816)561-0532 otherwise. I like in Kansas City near the Plaza and would be happy to have you come see her if you'd like.
