My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gidget is a very friendly, sweet girl who is a survivor of the horrific dog meat trade in Asia. Stolen from the safety of a home or other familiar surroundings she was crammed into a cage with many other dogs, frightened, hungry and barely able to move unaware of what fate awaited her. Gidget though was one of the lucky ones who was rescued and taken to a shelter in northern Thailand where she resided with 1200 other rescued dogs. Here she was safe and was no longer hungry for food but she did not have the love of a family she so deeply craved. The Soi Dog organization seeing how sweet she was and realizing her potential took her to their main facility in Phuket where they could assess her, work with her and share her with the rescues they work with abroad. We at Firefighter Dog Rescue are very happy to be involved with the next chapter in Gidget's amazing story. We are bringing her to Canada and to a loving family she is so deserving of.
