My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sir Brody would like your attention! He’s a Shih Tzu approx. 5-6 years old and 16 lbs. He started life out in a shelter with unknown history so his age is a guess based off his amazingly beautiful teeth and time spent with his current family. Brody is a pretty laid back fella when his people are around. He’s independent and fairly indifferent. He’s not much for snuggling, but he does want to know his humans are around. Brody is suffering from separation anxiety. He seems to do fine for a few hours, but any more than that he fears the worst and it’s just unbearable. He’d like a family that can be with him the majority of the day whether that be at home or going to work with you. He travels nicely and is very well mannered. He would like to stay fairly active and take a daily walk or attend social events with you. Brody has lived with dogs and cats. He does growl at his cat sibling who likes to taunt him so dog savvy cats are best. And while he doesn’t want to be in your lap he also doesn’t like anyone else there either, so he can be a bit bossy. Overall, he’s low maintenance as long as you’re around. He’s loves kids, but they should be respectful of his space and know that he’ll run after that ball once or twice before the game is over. If there are kids and dogs in the home he may get protective, so it’s probably best to have one or the other. His adoption fee is $150. Visit mustlovedogsnw.org to download the adoption application.
