Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bunny is a beautiful little dog who came in from an owner who could no longer care for her. She was covered in fleas, had sarcoptic mange and tested positive for heartworms! It's been a long road back to recovery for Bunny but is now in her last 2 weeks of heartworm treatment and is doing well. She needs more blood work in a couple of weeks and then she will be spayed, finish up her necessary vet work and will be available for adoption! However we are taking applications on Bunny now because we know she will NOT last long! She is 3 years old, adorable and is full grown at 10.5 pounds. She walks well on a leash, is crate trained and completely house-trained. Bunny gets along with other dogs as well as cats and is very low maintenance. She loves attention and wants to be someone's lap dog and walking partner. Bunny is looking for the perfect home where she will live inside and be part of the family. No small children please because Bunny is little and we do not want her injured accidentally. A retired individual or someone with another small dog as a playmate during the day would work well. If you are the perfect adopter for Bunny, you can contact us at info.caresga@gmail.com for an adoption application or you can download an app directly from our website www.caresga.org! A vet reference is required for adoption approval (this means you must have or previously have had a dog or cat so we can verify that they were sterilized, current on all vaccines and on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives). WE DO ADOPT UP NORTH and all over so just e-mail us for details! Bunny's adoption fee is $450 which is a lot lower than the $1250 that it took to get her healthy. She will only be adopted to the best home.
This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
