We're looking for a very special family for Miss Lily. Lily is an 11-year-old 6.5 pound Malti-Poo (best guess). If Lily's owner hadn't mentioned she's 11 years old both we and our vet would have guessed 6 or so, she doesn't look or act like an older dog. Many good years left, we believe.
Lily's been quite neglected so we're looking for a family who wants to cherish and spoil her with lots of attention and time, daily walks, excellent food, great medical care, and a quiet household to relax in. She is a very special sweet dog and deserves it.
Lilly is fine with other dogs, but isn't super interested in them, she's more into her people. She's never far from her person, often sleeping just nearby on the back of the couch or on a pillow. She's gaining some weight and she's been spayed and had a lot of teeth removed.
Lily is a little nervous in new situations and with new people, but doesn't have a mean bone in her body. We think she'd thrive with a routine and lots of love. She's started to blossom in her foster home, and will continue to grow into a wonderful little companion dog.
Lily is fully vetted, spayed, had a dental, and is micro-chipped. Her is adoption fee is $250. Adoption fees from purebred popular dogs like Lily help us help dogs with medical issues, and harder-to-adopt breed like pits.

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Munster, Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. Adoption fees range from $150-$350. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
