Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! It’s me Lilly Belle. I’m about 2 years old, weigh 12 pounds and they tell me I’m and adorable Dachshund/Schnauzer mix. I’m usually not much of a bragger, but my foster mom encouraged me to, as I have many reasons to be proud, according to her. I think it is safe to say that I’m the full package. I’m house and crate trained and walk well on leash without pulling. I know basic commands such as sit, stay, come and I know how to behave inside a home.
I love all people including children and dogs. I even like some cats, but I prefer to not play with them. So any cat that knows how to respect my personal space is perfect for me. My energy level is average but I do like to exercise and I enjoy playing with other dogs the most. Overall, I like to be close to my human at all times and cuddle up whenever I get a chance. I know I was born to be a lap dog. My foster mom says, I’m a true pleaser and show my gratitude every day.
I had a fairly rough start in life, but I was blessed this kind lady wouldn’t give up on rescuing me. She fosters me now and I love her endlessly. I’m not sure what happened, but I was all by myself, emaciated, hairless and the insects were eating me alive. I didn’t look all that cute back then and I tried to hide under a house for the most part, but when I got too hungry I had to go and look for food. That is when I met my foster mom. I was scared at first, as I have not have many friendly encounters with people, but she fed me and came back every day until I decided to just trust her and let her take care of me. Best decision I have ever made!
Ever since I have healed up nicely and again I don’t mean to brag but I’m actually really cute. All of my hair is back, I put on a few pounds and I finally got to experience what it is like to feel safe and play and cuddle all day every day. I always knew there must have been more to life than just hiding under a house barely surviving.
