Charlie is a 9 year old neutered male Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Don't let his age fool you! This big boy has a ton a puppy energy and loves his daily hikes. He is currently over weight so we are working hard on the trails to help Charlie drop some weight. We are looking for a family that has a lot of time to devote to this affectionate boy.
Charlie's previous home surrendered him to rescue because they 'didn't have time to give him' anymore. Charlie lived with 3 young children and loved them very much. He is typical Labrador and loves people and water. Charlie is very friendly with dogs but we are looking for a big dog who can match Charlie's size and play style.
We had Charlie's blood tested and he is in great health as well as testing a lump on his leg. The lump is very smalll and will not interfere with mobility. We did a fine need biopsy and it is just a fatty lump.
Charlie is a typical Labrador and loves everyone he meets including children. He has not lived with cats so we are looking for a cat free home for Charlie to retire.
Charlie's coat is quiet dry and flaky so we have switched him to a fresh raw diet. Charlie needs a home who will continue to help him to reach an ideal weight through daily exercise.
