My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fencejumper - MIA as of 5/29

Hey you!  Yeah you the one reading this.  My name is Pirate.  I was found wandering the streets in Tarrant County when a sweet Mom and her son stopped and scooped me up.  The little boy that found me said the black patch over my eye reminded him of a pirate.  So that has been my name since!  I am a quiet and well behaved boy who would love to have a family to call my own.  The boy that named me wanted to keep me but something about breed restrictions wouldn't allow him to.  I don't know what that is, but I don't think its fair.  I really liked that little boy, his Mom and Dad were nice too.  But they found a rescue group that promised to keep me safe and help me find a family of my own.

They have already taken me to the vet for an awful surgery, if they offer to take you to that place DONT get in the car!!!!  But I did get treats when I woke up and lots of extra attention.   I am already house broken and crate trained.  I love to play outside.  They tell me that I've had all my shots and that I get heart worm preventative each month.  Which is good, cause I don't want those nasty things putting a damper on happy go lucky personality!

Okay, I gotta go play now.  Thanks for reading my story and I hope you consider me to be part of your family.  I would be an excellent choice - if I do say so myself!

Pirate has gone on one homevisit at which time it was discovered that he has separation anxiety.  So Pirate needs a home where he will NOT be alone, whether that means that he as a 4-legged sibling that is always around or if that means there will always be a human home.  He also requires a home with a 6 foot or taller fence as we've discovered that he can climb our 5 foot chainlink fence.   He doesn't run off once he clears the fence, just wanders around the yard and will hang out by the front door waiting to be let back in.
