My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted 10/21/2012 !!

'Killer' is a female, 1-2 year old Dachshund-mix whom we found cowering in our back yard after she was abandoned by her owners.  We gave her some needed love and attention, she is now returning more than she receives!! 

She received her name while being leash trained and after a trip to the vet.  Outside the vet office is a large brown stone bear in a standing/threatening stance.  Killer took up a position between the enemy and her current humans protecting us by barking and showing her teeth to the bear! Hence, she earned her name Killer.

She is currently working on being housebroken and has adapted to the security of her kennel.  She shows all the characteristics of a Dachshund -headstrong and fiercely protective of her family.  She is an excellent watchdog.  Energetic, loves to play and believes she is a lap dog.  She enjoys playing with balls but her favorite toys are 'Everpet' flavored rawhide bones.  She insists in carrying them around with her constantly. 

She will make a great companion and addition to anyone's family.
