Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Yuma is the sweetest, most affectionate girl. She's 3 years old and 65 pounds of pure love! She also happens to be blind, resulting from head trauma which happened during a robbery. But it's almost like no one told her that! She LOVES to explore and she gallops around with no hesitation. Watching her make a beeline towards you when you call her name is something to see. She is truly amazing! Her owners lost their house and could not keep her so that's how she came into our rescue.
She is a gorgeous large breed mix, likely with Labrador and maybe Rhodesian Ridgeback. Aside from being blind, she is perfectly healthy. She has no problems with her eyes and will not need any ongoing care for them. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and parasite-free. She is super smart, wants to please and loves treats so she's a dream to train and picks up tricks very quickly. She is completely housetrained and has good manners. She is friendly with other dogs, but a small, calm and/or older companion would be best for her. She is incredibly loving, sweet and friendly with everyone she meets and she's great with our 7 year-old boys. A family without young children would be best since she can't see them and they might have difficulty understanding that. Caring for a blind dog is easy and such a rewarding experience.
Yuma is a special girl and will make her new family tremendously happy! You can check out our rescue at facebook.com/AnimalKARE. You can check out the transporter at facebook.com/Rescueroadtrips. Feel free to email with any questions you might have about Yuma.
