Animal's name: KoKo Age (years): 6 Weight (pounds): 13 Spayed/Neutered: No Coat: Smooth Color: Red Adoption fee: 100 Koko has a typical sad story - her owner has become unable to care for her and she needs a new home for the rest of her life. She is only six years old so she has a lot of life to live yet -maybe as much as 10 years as dachshunds live long lives. She has spent her life with mostly older people and she likes them all and is quite friendly to company. We dont know how she would be living with children as she has no experience with them. An older home might be best for her. She is not yet spayed and needs to be. The family cannot afford it at this time so a $50 refundable deposit will be charged and returned with proof of spay. We can suggest a spay clinic where it can be done cheaply. If you like Koko please submit an application at drnc.org.
