MEET ROSEY aka ROSE BUD the PUPPY!
Rosy & her sibs are the result of careless ownership. The young adult woman responsible for the mother didn't spay her so the dog got pregnant & delivered her babies. The woman abandoned the problem to her parents who would not care for the pups. A neighbor in the situation contacted the Underdogs Puppy Foster (aka Beckey) & appealed to her soft heart. Luckily, the appeal worked! Beckey made room for the remaining pups on her family's farm & now the dogs are learning about the 'good kind' of humans. Now, they get food in their tummies, lots of love from the children & guidance from the farm dogs on proper dog social skills.
Rosy was probably born around the beginning of summer, late June 2008. She's all black with a touch of white on her chest. Although her mother was probably a purebred Husky, Rosy looks like she is going to take after dear ol' Dad who must be mostly Labrador. She has a sweet face & eyes that will melt your heart (like a pool of buttah!) She has come out of her shell & is quickly learning that humans are good & also that she likes petting & attention. She is likely going to be a good sized dog, but seems pretty laid back so far. On the farm, Rosy defers to the older dogs & plays with her peers.
The foster home is at a 5 acre horse farm so around children, adults, barn cats, of course other dogs AND 2 horses. She has major exposure to various species which bodes well for her & those who meet her...because a socialized dog is a good dog.
If you perceive you are up to the commitment of having a puppy in your life, please contact Beckey via email. Beckey will request that you fill out an application & find out more about you & tell you more about the puppy. We want to do our best to make a good match for each one of our foster puppies.

All our puppy adopters will need to be knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) the how to of housetraining a puppy. Housetraining puppies involves frequent trips outside by person and puppy with lots of praise &/or rewards. No puppies go potty indoors for spite. It's all up to the people to teach the puppy kindly & patiently where acceptable potty spots are. And accidents will happen!
Rose Bud's (aka Rosy) adoption fee is $135 which covers some of the cost of her spay surgery, puppy shots & checkup. Feel free to send an email with your phone contact information & details if you think your home might be a good fit for Rosy.
Thank you for looking a rescue dog.
