Hi! My name’s Leo. May I come live with you? I don’t care whether you live by yourself or are part of a family. I don’t care if you have other dogs or no dogs. I am well-mannered with adults, small children and with other dogs. The cats I’ve met are used to dogs. They try to be friendly with me. I find that curious. I keep my distance. I have good house manners. I like to go for walks and car rides. At night I like to sleep on the foot of your bed. I am quiet; you won’t know I’m even there. I love fuzzy squeaky toys.
I came to Angels Rescuing Animals from a large “kill” shelter in central California via private aircraft, Pilots N Paws. I was one of about 250 animals freed from an animal cruelty/hoarder case.
My birthdate is February 3, 2014. I’m 28 pounds. My DNA panel says I am primarily a Dachshund/Chihuahua/Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu/ mix. Pretty amazing, huh?
My adoption fee is $ 250.
I'm not a "yard dog" and don’t want to be left outside while any children are in school and adults are at work. I would prefer a securely fenced yard of appropriate size for potty and play, but it’s OK with me if you want to take me for a walk several times a day so I can do my business. My foster Mom will bring me to your home so you can meet me. However, she doesn’t want to drive more than 110 miles from Auburn, CA.
