Here's what the humans have to say about me:
7-11-15 Initial Bio Meet Zoey our new little yorkie foster baby. She is just 6.9 pounds of sweetness. She is 10 years young. Zoey is being fostered in Dunedin, FL. If you are looking for a Velcro baby, Zoey is the one for you. Zoey's adoption fee is $150 and includes all vetting (neuter, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt Zoey by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.
Zoey has only been in her foster home a short while, but we do know a little about her. Zoey is very sweet and loves people. Right now she seems to be a little scared of the other fur friends in her foster home. She didn’t react badly, just backed away as far as she could from them and was clearly frightened. Her foster mom is hoping once she settles in she will be better with them.
Zoey travels great in a car. She is totally housetrained and has been sleeping in bed with her foster parents with no issues. She appears to be a bit of a picky eater and only eats soft food. She's shy and hasn't barked at all since coming to her foster home.
Zoey likes to pick one person and hang out with them. She then becomes their shadow. It is sad for this little girl who was yanked from the only home she ever knew and found herself with new people in a whole different environment. But she loves people and will bond with her human very quickly.
Zoey will need to have her vaccinations updated and a dental and will then be ready for her forever home. She really needs a retired or semi-retired person who is able to spend a lot of time with her one on one and can bond with her completely. No children please for this girl. She would most likely do best as an only dog who can then get all the attention she wants.
Do not let Zoey’s age scare you. She has many good years left in her. She really is an active little girl and will enjoy walks, maybe a fenced yard, and lots of attention. If you are looking for a great companion, a love bug, and the best friend you can find, this is the sweet baby girl for you.
