My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Trisha. She's a petite little sweetie, at 11 pounds. When she came to our home, she was so shy she didn't exit her crate on her own for four days. She smelled terrible, and she jumped at every little sound. She wouldn't get near us if she could help it. Now, two weeks later, she is doing much better. We introduced her to our Cairn, Hazel. Hazel has really helped Trisha to come out of her shell. Trisha LOVES Hazel. She follows Hazel wherever she goes. She imitates everything that Hazel does. Now, Trisha comes bounding out of her crate every morning and hates to go back in it. She plays with Hazel and cuddles with me all day long. This is the most cuddly pup I have ever seen! If you go to pick her up she will cower and run. But if you sit quietly on the couch she'll timidly jump up and then snuggle into your lap for as long as you want. She's still jumpy. She'll run to you and wag her tail, but when she gets near you she'll remember what she's doing and run the other way. She's still getting used to people, and she's terrified of strangers. But she's getting better and she's shaping up to be one terrific pooch!
