My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peggy Lee is a very high-maintenance girl who would be happiest if someone would throw toys for her to fetch 24/7. She has shown herself to be one smart cookie, already knowing sit, and learning quickly to go into her crate when told. If a toy is thrown for her she is so quick she often catches it in mid air; she then spits it out at your feet to be thrown again. If you don't comply soon enough to suit her she picks it up and deposits it ON your feet, then on your lap. Peggy Lee is also very vocal about her need for play & has quite a repertoire of growls & 'aroos.' Like most high maintenance girls, Peggy Lee is not without a few flaws. An unfortunate incident in her puppyhood caused a partial amputation of her tail. She is prone to occasional incidents of chasing said tail with much sound and fury. We are investigating physical causes, but feel that they may be psychological in nature as they continue to decrease in frequency the longer she is in foster care. The fine print: Peggy Lee is a reddish wheaten in color and weighs 17.4 lb. She seems to be housebroken if kept on a regular schedule. She has recently been spayed, tested negative for heartworm & other parasites, had her teeth cleaned and was brought up to date on her vaccinations. She might do best as an only dog as she seems a little food & toy aggressive here in foster care with 4 other dogs in the home.
