Dodger has a wonderful personality that he's starting to reveal to us – he reminds me of a jolly-looking teddy bear just made for cuddling. He is very much a man's dog – when my husband comes home from work, Dodger tells him the day's tales, prancing and nodding his head as he talks to my husband. He just can't wait until he sits down so he can be invited up into his lap for a belly rub and skritches. When he first came, we had a few marking issues, but since settling in, that has stopped. He does like to have his own space, napping in the den by himself a few hours a day, but he is spending more time with us in the same room with the rest of our dogs. He's quiet in the house except for the little conversations he likes to share but seems to enjoy announcing his presence outside when he hears another dog in the distance. He's getting along well with our pack, but he's not one to play – the only thing he's played with has been a tennis ball in the yard – he loves for my husband to chase him and throw the ball for him. And he LOVES to take walks, so a home that will take him for long walks is a must.
