Alma is a refined Cairn lady who lost the family she had for all of her 10 years of life because of old age & illness. She has settled into the routine of her foster home, but finds it disconcerting to have to sleep in a crate at night. There is never a peep after she is put to bed, but her displeasure is apparent by the shredded bedding we find in the morning. She would much rather spend the night in the recliner, her favorite spot. I am sure she would also complain about the rations if she could. She is, shall we say, a 'solid' Cairn at 19 pounds, so we are attempting to help her regain a more girlish figure! She is also getting a little refresher course in potty manners which is coming along well.
She has a slight preference for men. Although Alma is also on cordial terms with the other dogs in the house, she has not been cat-scanned yet. She recently had her teeth cleaned and is up to date on her shots. Her barks seem to be reserved for total strangers who enter her domain. She will be a loving companion in someone's home and an excellent couch buddy!
