Mr. Rees ~ A report from Dad Quiet and studious: right now Rees is so quiet, you would not know he is in the room. He is studying everything we do – filing it away. Everything is so new to him! A real house, grass, going for a walk, laughter, playing (what’s that?) and the list goes on. If you are willing to invest time in loving this little man, you will have an awesome friend. Lap dog: This describes Rees! Our female Cairn will want to get down when she gets hot - not Rees, he will be panting but still want to stay on your lap. If you want a lap dog – this little guy might be for you. In that same vein, he does want to be in the same room with you. When it is time for Rees to be in his kennel, we move the kennel to whatever room we might be in. He is beginning to learn “how to play” with our female - but still basically just watches. He is a little more comfortable around my wife; he is not sure what to make of this man. He may have been mistreated by a man. Getting better at walks – he knows our “route” – walks right beside me and does not pull - except when he wants to stop and “study” what is around him. He is so funny – I know exactly where he is going to want to stop and look. Has anything changed from yesterday morning? He’s a funny dude. Because of his past life, he is a little skittish around even the smallest noise if he hasn’t heard it before. When we started going for our morning walk around the perimeter of the yard, if I stepped on a big leaf (sycamore) and it crunched he jumped; now that doesn’t matter. Give this boy some time – he is a treasure. We have not had any accidents in the house, but he has not found his rhythm yet for a regular routine. This boy can learn lots and will make you a faithful companion. He is waiting for you to call – what are you waiting for? CLICK HERE FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION AND UPDATES ON REES IN IOWA
