Swisher continues to adapt to his new surroundings and my three Cairns. Even though he lost his mom and his former pack all in one week, he has adjusted nicely and is feeling comfortable in his new surroundings. This tells me that he is pretty adaptable. He is on the shy and quiet side so someone wanting a super active and energetic Cairn probably wouldn't be the best home for him. Swisher is super sweet and will come to me and put his little paws on my legs when I kneel down so he can give me his puppy kisses. He likes to follow my Cairns out onto our deck and down to our fenced yard to play and sunbathe. He has figured out how to entertain himself by getting a squeaky toy and loves to play tug of war with my husband. Although he is afraid of thunder, lightening, loud rain, and other sudden noises, his thundershirt and attention from foster mom can soothe him. Swisher would benefit from having at least one other fur-sister or fur-brother and he enjoys having the run of our large fenced yard. But what Swisher needs most of all is a kind and loving forever home. Could that be with you?
