May I introduce Copper, who is a great dog and would make a wonderful addition to any home. His coat has a little gray in it, he has an unusual curly tail and he is a little taller than my girl. This is the second time this sweet boy has been one of the Colonel's kids. His new owners were not able to continue caring for him so he is now on vacation in Florida while he awaits his next adventure. He has settled quickly into our routine and understands that Cairn girls rule. He enjoys playing with my girl but will not challenge her furry fist. He has been to obedience training and like most self-respecting Cairns, little of what he learned has stuck. He knows a few basics such as sit and wait, and will take treats very gently. Being young, Copper has lots of energy and loves long walks. He also chases squirrels and geckoes, and barks at other dogs. We do not have a fenced yard but he likes to be out on the patio watching the world go by. He tends to stick quite close to humans and gets lonesome and barks if left in the house, even with my girl Cairn for company, so we are trying some ideas to make him more content while we are gone. He is completely housetrained, sleeps quietly in his Xpen at night, and expects plenty of lap time. He will gently nudge your knee to let you know he is waiting. Check out that sweet face and get your application in soon!
