Jamison has been a perfect gentleman since coming to his foster home. He is fully house trained, crate trained, and well mannered. He sits patiently for his treats, and his turn to be leashed for walks. We walk about 2 miles each day, as Jamison needs the exercise and mental stimulation a walk provides. He is wonderful on lead, not pulling unless he sees squirrels. Jamison is trying his best to get the resident Cairns to play with him, and he is patient when they ignore him. He can be barky, often running and barking in the yard just for the sheer joy of it! He is a great 'watch' dog, alerting us to noises he hears that are unusual, but quiets down fairly quickly when asked. Jamison suffered some abuse in his original home, and does show signs of fear from that time. With careful handling, and being aware of his triggers, he does very well. He responds quickly to voice commands, which makes correction very easy and also allows him to feel safe and not threatened by physical handling. Jamison entertains himself with toys, talking to them, throwing them up in the air, and stalking them. He loves a good game of tug! Jamison is very smart, eager to please, and a joy to have here.
