Digby was found wandering in the southern US and soon found himself in Poodle Rescue who kindly agreed to take care of him. Unfortunately, his frou frou bunkmates threw him into a frenzy - those fancy French girls did not appreciate his Cairnish ways. Col. Potter sprung him and his behavior has shown some improvement with only one Cairn sister to deal with. He still barks at unaccustomed sights and sounds and does not seem to know even basic commands, although he is housetrained and can be left alone in the house. He has an upbeat happy personality and is affectionate and playful. He is very food motivated and shows some guarding and dominant behaviors, including growling and snapping. He would benefit from terrier-experienced owners willing to provide the structure and training that he needs. He has a slightly stiff right hip, but it does not slow him down much. He needs watching, as he is full of energy and will attempt anything, even though he has fallen down our stairs in his rush to get down them before my girl. Digby is a diamond in the rough, and he follows us around all the time and loves to be petted. He will be a great dog with your guidance and love. Don't wait!
