EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT! Hurricane hits Long Island! A hurricane did in fact hit Long Island last Sunday; an adorable wheaten-colored Cairn who spent the first few years of her life in a breeding facility. Hurricane has been adjusting to her foster home, enjoying a warm bed, plenty of food and water, and lots of hugs and kisses from her foster mom. She is still frightened, but enjoys snuggling with me and now asks to come up on my lap for some cuddle time. Hurricane walks well on a leash and does her business quickly on our walks. She and the resident Cairn get along well, but meeting big, strange dogs on our walks frightens this little girl. Hurricane just celebrated her third birthday - her first birthday in freedom! She's ready for adoption so get your application in!
