My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toyonal is making progress, but slowly. She is very sweet yet still has not shown much interest in anything. The only time she is animated is when she's outside running around the yard. She looks so free and happy. At first a falling leaf would scare her to bits, now she pays no attention to it. And she has started to play with one of the balls in the yard. She is hesitant about being on our deck but now will come in with our other dogs. Then she hightails it up to her room and lies on her blanket. She likes to gnaw her chewie and will even allow us to take it away. She also likes her stuffed toys. We find them gathered around her. Toyonal has a good appetite and eats very well. She does all her business outside at scheduled times, though she needs to be carried out as she hasn't learned how to go down steps or out the door yet. She does enjoy time on the sofa watching tv where she can snuggle up against foster mom. She sleeps quietly all night. We have still not heard her bark. Toyonal still needs some time to build up her confidence and learn about living in a home. Her forever family will need to be very loving and patient with her while she continues on her journey toward becoming the Cairn princess she deserves to be.
