Mozart's story is one that breaks your heart. He came from a breeding facility where he lived his life in a cage. When he first came to Col. Potter his feet were oozing with infection and very swollen. I can only imagine how they must have hurt. His teeth were also in horrible condition and he had to have 8 pulled. When I picked him up at the airport he had the hopeless look in his eyes and my eyes welled with tears. But, when I got him home and he saw our furkids, his little tail started wagging and I saw some life in those eyes. What is amazing is that after all this little boy has been through, his Cairn spirit was not broken. He has learned a lot in a short time about being loved and well taken care of and has completely fallen in love with his foster mom. Mozart is happiest when he can cuddle up tight to mom. When mom talks to him his tails wags and wags and he really acts silly and playful when mom sits on the floor to play with him. He has discovered toys and trots through the house with his favorite ball or toy in his mouth. Yesterday, he zoomed through the yard for the first time. Mozart is still learning about living in the house and is working very hard on his potty training. This sweet boy needs a mom that will cherish him and keep him safe for the rest of his life.
