I have really enjoyed watching the transformation of my buddy Parade. It took him a week to adjust to his new surroundings but this pup is determined to live life to the fullest now. He has made himself comfortable around the house and enjoys sprawling out with his little hind legs stretched out. He enjoys going in and out of the doggy door and running down the hill with the other dogs. He loves to have his neck and belly rubbed and will kiss your face all over for this favor. He follows me everywhere - he's just plain sweet!
He loves to go for long walks in the woods and walks well with my resident dog, Zowie. We have been approached by other dogs and he is very calm - unlike Zowie Marie. He's doing great with his housebreaking. He sleeps in his pop-up crate every night and loves that because it's soft and he can stretch all he wants. He has a good bark (he did not bark for a week I was worried) and sounds more like a little hound. When he first barked my dogs tilted their heads because he didn't sound like them - that was pretty funny! Now that Parade has had a taste of love and compassion, he makes it clear that he is loving it. To keep him reassured, I hug him and rub his neck everyday and let him know that this is what love is all about. Would you like to take on this privilege? Then fill out that application!
