Sabre has only been with us a week and he is just an amazing little boy. Sabre never lived in a house or was shown any love, but this little one is making up for lost time. His first few days he was cautious about his surroundings and most comfortable watching his new world from his crate. He would let his foster mom and dad pick him up and carry him outside where he just came alive. Now, he comes in and out by himself and loves to explore the yard and play with his foster siblings. In one short week Sabre has discovered the joys of being loved and cared for! He is a happy little boy whose tail wags a mile a minute when he sees his foster mom, and he loves to put his feet on mom and ask to be held. He has gone from preferring to eat his meals in his crate to joining the rest of the pack in the kitchen. Sabre sleeps in his crate and watches his mom adoringly until she tells him he is safe, then he curls up and sleeps safe and sound for the first time in his life. When morning comes, he just can't believe his good fortune, but he makes sure we know how happy he is by wagging that little tail and giving quick little kisses. Sabre has been a delight to foster and every day is a joy to watch him blossom. He is still getting used to his new world. Sabre is not a shy dog, but has become cautious because of his prior life. He needs a home that will hold him and let him snuggle next to them on the couch and a home that will help him as he continues to discover his new world.
