My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Apache, but the foster folks call him Willie. His name comes from Willie Nelson and he's the 'Red Headed Stranger'. Willie is a beautiful 18.5 lb red wheaten who is shy and reserved, but he's making good progress. When Willie is in an outgoing mood he is just wonderful. He likes a calm atmosphere, and he loves the other dogs in the house (all three of them. They get along great. He is still sounding the bark alarm for our epileptic dog when he seizes. We are working each day to draw him out more and more. Willie is responding slowly, but if I had lived my entire life in a cage I would be hesitant to come out into the world too. Each step he takes forward is wonderful – sort of like a flower blooming.
