Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read entire description if you are interested in Regal - it's important.
(Our adoption app is here: http://pawsitivetailsrescue.org/our-adoptable-pets/pawsitive-tails-rescue-dog-adoption-application-form/)
Regal is an amazing purebred German Shepherd boy who is 4 years old (born 8/15/2012). He has quite a story to tell. His former dad kept him in an outside kennel basically 24/7 because his wife hated the dog. The dad contacted me for help in rehoming him and before we could get him, the dad died suddenly of a heart attack.
We almost didn't save Regal. The wife literally loaded a gun and went out to shoot him when her son stopped her. We got him (with the help of a volunteer transport due to the fact he was located about 5 hours away) two days later.
When he got here he was matted, filthy, terrified and VERY (about 20 lbs) underweight. He is still a bit thin (picky eater!) but now weighs a healthier nearly 90 lbs.
This guy is the sweetest boy. He's awesome with kids and adults alike, I'm told that he doesn't like sharing his people with other dogs, but I have not seen that here, He is absolutely NOT good with cats.
He's highly intelligent, is trained in the basics, housebroken and loyal to a fault.
He got a a new family for about 2 months, but he began experiencing separation anxiety and the new owners didn't have much experience with this issue, so they asked us try and find him a home better suited. In the time (before and after this adoption) he's been with us, we have seen no separation anxiety issues at all and no aggressive behavior toward other dogs.
Since Regal has been back here, he's played with all the other dogs - NO PROBLEMS. He's not ONCE tried to get out of his crate - he's actually excited to go into it to sleep and eat. I'm not a dog psychologist, so I'm not sure what to make of all this - but, at least here, this boy is the most well-behaved sweetheart of a dog ever.
I can't stress enough what an amazing boy this is - but he needs someone with some experience with dog anxiety and German Shepherds, and has the time and love to give him.
His adoption fee is $150 and includes age-appropriate shots, worming, microchip - he is neutered.
An approved application is required (which can be found here: http://pawsitivetailsrescue.org/our-adoptable-pets/pawsitive-tails-rescue-dog-adoption-application-form/), as is an adoption contract.
