My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Ernie.

I'm about 10 years old and am a Lab mix. I love to play fetch and go for rides in the car but what makes me the happiest at the end of the day is cuddling with my foster mom. See, I was found as a stray on the streets of Detroit in May and have been in the wonderful care of the Michigan Humane Society ever since. The doctor had to pull a couple of my teeth so please notice my goofy grin. Last week was the first time in a long time that I got to snuggle with someone one on one for hours on end. I really enjoyed it! I'm not sure how I am with cats but there is wildlife where I'm staying and they just don't do anything for me, I'd rather fetch or hang with mom.

I went to daycare with my foster brother yesterday and it was a blast. I got to make new friends and play for a long time. The staff told my foster mom that I got along with everyone. They even commented on what a chill gentleman I am and I got some treats. Happy Ernie. If you're looking for a laid back buddy- I'm him!

ADOPTION FEES:

Adults (6 months and older): $300, which includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date monthly heartworm preventative, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime enrollment.
