Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ruger is a sweet, loving, and social 1 year old Shiba Inu/Corgi mix. He loves to be around people, especially children, and does great with dogs and cats! He is a playful boy that loves attention, belly rubs, and ear scratches! He greets everyone he meets with kisses and tail wags!
Sadly, Ruger was shot with a gun back in January causing paralysis in his hind limbs. He was taken in by a rescue in Springfield, Missouri. Surgery was performed to remove the pellet lodged in his spine, but unfortunately it couldn't be removed without causing more harm to his spinal cord. As a direct result from the shooting he has been left paralyzed and incontinent. Ruger needs his bladder expressed 3 times per day and in between he doesn't mind wearing belly bands...just in case! Don't worry...expressing is easy to learn and he will hold perfectly still! For walks and exercise, Ruger has a wheelchair that will go with him to his forever home! Currently, Ruger has some sores on his feet (that were acquired prior to arriving at our rescue) that need to be healed up before he can be adopted, but we are currently accepting applications so once he is ready and healed up, he can go straight to his forever home!
Ruger is neutered, current on vaccines/deworm/flea & tick preventative, Heart Worm negative, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home!
