Fostered in Post Falls, Idaho

Hi. My name is Puppy. I'm not a puppy, but who wants a puppy anyway? I literally am the perfect dog and would make a good companion for anyone. I was picked up as a stray and was never reclaimed, so Power of the Paw took me into their program. I'm loving life and I'm loving the new foster home. They take amazing care of me and I'm finally getting to know what love feels like.

First thing you may notice about me when you meet me is that I cough. The doctor thinks I have a bit of tracheal paralysis. It's more annoying than anything. I seem to do it more when I'm stressed out. Now that I'm calming down in my foster home, the coughing has calmed down greatly.

I would make a good companion for someone who wants a mellow dog to spend time lounging around with. I haven't had a single accident in the house, and I'm not afraid of loud noises. That may be because I can't hear really well, but I do respond to clapping. My foster family leaves me roaming the house during the day, with access to a doggie door and I stay out of trouble.

I'm doing well with the other dogs in my home, and I don't mind the cats either. The honest truth is, I'd just rather hang with you. I'd love it if my new home was semi-retired or home often so that I could have as much attention as I wanted. I've heard that there isn't enough good things to say about me... I just hope that the fact that I'm older doesn't stop you from changing my life and giving me the life I deserve.
