My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a tuxedo short hair kitten who had a rough start in life. My litter
mates and I where born in the woods in early June and spent the first 8-10
weeks of our life being chased by foxes, coyotes, and fisher cats. We saw
our litter mate being attacked by a coyote which completely frightened us.
Our mom cat did the best she could to help us by bringing us mice to eat for
dinner. Our mom used to be someone's pet until she was dumped in the woods,
pregnant and no where to go. We spent many nights in those horrible
thunderstorms huddled together and scared. One day a kind lady came with
traps, those things where so scary, we saw mom go first. It was so scary out
there all alone and we did not have our usual dinner of mice, we saw them
run by us, but mom always had a way of preparing it for us. The day after
she left we decided to venture out of the woods and those traps where there,
there was something that smelled good inside of it and we are so hungry.
After we where trapped that kind lady took us to her house and fed us so
much food we had no idea life could be so good. We had plenty of food,
water, a nice pillow to sleep on, and a litter box and it was not raining on
us. I was so scared that every time she put her hand in the cage I would
hiss and put my paw out to slap her. I don't know why but that did not stop
her from coming in to pet me, I tried to tell her listen lady I am terrified
of you, look at my teeth they can bite you if I want too. I really did not
want to bite her, I just showed her my teeth so she would think I wanted
too. She must of known I wouldn't do anything to hurt her because she was
insistent on petting me. I realized I was starting to like that human touch
on me, it felt kind of good. My brother, well he was such a lover boy he
would roll over and show his belly just to get those scratches. Not me, I am
much more sophisticated then that. The lady moved us to a foster home where
a nice young teenager started to work with us. My brother found a placement
first. It took me a while to warm up to humans, I like the sound of my
hissing so I hiss a lot. It sounds kind of cool to hear it. I been in my
foster home about a month now and I have really started to realize I love
being an indoor house cat. I am now appreciating my foster family and love
to twirl around their legs when they come in the room. I also like being
held now and I love it when they bend over to pick me up. I would love a
home where a family will love me like my foster family does. By the way
don't ever put me back outside again, that is such a scary place in the
world to be. If you would love to give me a home please contact that kind
lady who found me in the first place, her name is Gina and she can be
reached by email at GJECT@cox.net.
