Watch out, there's a super Nova bursting at ACl! This gorgeous 11 month old pittie mix is such a stunner - her white coat and grey bandit mask are sure to have heads turning whenever you take her for a walk! Nova arrived at ACL as a stray, and her owners neglected to come get her again. Their loss is our gain - Nova is wonderful. She's gentle, sweet, and dying for human companionship. She needs a bit of training to get her over the puppy hump - she still gets excited and jumpy like any puppy does. With regular exercise and attention, though, she settles right down. Nova is good with other dogs, and she'd really thrive in an environment with a more experienced pooch to lead her through life. She's been a great sidekick to other playful, confident pups here, and we think her best home fit has another dog to bond with. Because of her size and energy level, Nova is good with dog-savvy kids of any ages, but no cats, please. Nova is partially to fully deaf - she is extremely responsive to gestures and facial expressions, and she'll need minimal extra training to help her adapt to her disability in a home. ACL would be happy to provide adopters with more information about working with dogs with hearing restrictions.
