Hi! Bonnie Banks here! While Clyde and I haven’t robbed any banks lately, we are sure to steal your hearts. We were found wandering the streets and were taken into custody and brought to doggie jail (an animal shelter). Luckily, the wonderful folks at BTRFL helped us to make a jail break from there. Now we get to stay in an amazing foster home so we are pretty sure we’ve scored big this time around.
We are youngsters (approximately 2 yrs and 1 yr old) and have a lot of energy (which is necessary to be a notorious gangster). It would be great to find a home with a fenced yard so that we can’t make a break for it if we see something we want to investigate. We crave attention (who doesn’t love the limelight?) and we have a great time playing with each other. However, being the gangsters that we are, we have to watch each other’s back. I don’t let Clyde out of my sight. That’s how vigilant I am! We would do best in a home without other dogs who might try to infiltrate our gang and make us want to protect each other.
We love playing with children, but because of our high energy level, we wouldn’t want to be around small kids who we might knock over in our excitement. We are still learning some manners, like walking politely on a leash, and sometimes Clyde can’t help himself and he gets in trouble for chewing on something that he's not supposed to. He hates being yelled at because it really scares him, so having supervision to keep him on the straight and narrow while he grows out of his puppy ways is a must. It would also be great if we could stay in crates when no one is home so we aren’t tempted to get into something we shouldn’t. With a little time, I’m sure we will grow out of this and you’ll be able to start trusting us to be in the home on our own.
We have soooo much love to give! While we adore our foster mommy and daddy, finding one forever home for the both of us would be like scoring the mother load at Ft. Knox. Will you be our jackpot?
Bonnie and Clyde Banks are a bonded pair so they will need to be adopted together. Clyde is approximately 1 year old and weighs 20 pounds. Bonnie is approximately 2 years old and weighs 19.5 pounds.
