Hi! It's me, Penelope! I'm glad you clicked on my photo because I'm anxious to tell you all about me … at least what my foster parents know.
I was left at a shelter, and well … “my time was up” … whatever that means. Fortunately, the kind people at Friends of Penny saved me just in time!
I'm a very active little girl, about 3-4 years old. I am a min pin and what we think is a Pomeranian mix… which makes my coat just a tad longer and very silky. My tail is natural and curls toward the sky. My ears are natural as well and are usually pointed high. I am 12” tall and weigh about 9lbs. My foster mommy says I am a BEAUTIFUL little girl; and I'll have to say, I do agree!
I am housebroken (that is with periodic visits to the fenced yard, or a few walks a day); and I'd be okay in a crate during a “work day” for a while, but you would soon learn that I'm a good girl and can have the run of the house. I am up to date on all my shots, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, micro-chipped, and have beautiful white teeth (except for a teeny one missing on the bottom ... which I think just makes me even CUTER).
I love sitting on warm laps and am a great bed partner (my foster Dad said so!).
And oh! The words I've learned … stay, sit, come, walk, kisses, “empty” (much easier than pee pee and poo poo), and my favorite word, Love! In the short time I have been here in my foster home, I have picked up on all of these commands very quickly, so my foster parents know that I am a very smart little girl, eager to learn and please my humans!!!
I am fine with cats … just like to chase them a little, and my foster brother has helped teach me many things. All I'm missing is family to call my very own… and if that included a child or two to play with me and tire me out … that would be the “cats meow”, or so they say, since I've got a lot of energy! (9-10 yrs+ only, please… I do not think I would do well with young children as I am very much the “Queen Bee” and can be a little dominant.
It would also be great if I could be your only baby (I love attention… and having the spotlight all to myself); but if not, a brother or sister would be okay… I will do my best to share your love! I do get along with my foster brother as long as Mommy shows us equal amounts of love and attention!
