Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**We are proud to announce that this dog is currently part of Project HEEL (Helping Empower Everyone’s Lives), a training program, which pairs our dogs with young boys from a Harris County correctional facility for their mutual benefit. Please see the link below to learn more about this program. This dog will be available for adoption again after 11/26/2016.
Samantha is looking for a foster or forever home! A puppy at heart, 2-3 year old Samantha is a beautiful black, happy, female Lab with incredible appeal! This tenacious young gal doesn't even know she is disabled. And really, she's not. She had one of her rear legs removed due to a benign bone tumor but is getting along very well as a three-legged dog.
She adores people, is a constant wagging and kissing companion, and walks on a leash without pulling! Samantha is ladylike when eating, and just needs family to worship. She does want to chase cats, so a home without a cat is a must. She gets along nicely with most dogs but can get jealous if she is not getting her love. Afraid of stairs and unsure about car rides, the rest of her world is happy and perfect place, she thinks! She is desperate for a loving family who will be proud owners of a totally capable, happy go lucky tripod!
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.
The adoption fee of $200 ($250 for puppies under 1 year) covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org under More Information. Direct inquires to: adopt@corridorrescue.org.
Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
