Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read entire post if you are interested in Roxie- it's important.
Roxie is a 2-year-old (born 6/14) pit mix. She weighs about 40 lbs and is one of the most striking colored dogs I've ever seen - she is just beautiful!
Roxie has definite issues with female dogs (especially unaltered females), but is typically good with male dogs. She's great with both kids and adults and she LOVES to play, almost as much as she likes to lay her head on your lap to get ear scratches. She has not been around cats, so that is an unknown.
She's very well behaved, housebroken, up to date on shots/worming and just wants a family of her own.
She is very loving, knows heel, sit and wait commands and is a perfect lady in the house. She's a dog who is a pleaser - she wants to be with you and she wants to please you. And she LOVES to go for car rides!
Roxie tested positive for stage 1 heartworm in early August and has completed her immiticide treatments. We caught it early enough there will be no residual health effects and the treatment was successful. She does need to be on heartguard monthly through August of 2017 as a preventative. If she is adopted into an area that has a heartworm problem, she should remain on heartguard for the rest of her life (as should all dogs in those areas).
Her adoption fee is 150 and includes age-appropriate shots, worming, microchip and spay. An approved application is required (which can be found here: http://pawsitivetailsrescue.org/our-adoptable-pets/pawsitive-tails-rescue-dog-adoption-application-form/), as is an adoption contract.
