My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is approximately 5-6 years old and was sitting lonely and forgotten as an owner surrender in a shelter. She is now happy and loves to be with her person. A perfect lapdog she has the look of "puss in boots" with her white stocking front paws. She is just under 9 pounds, a calm caring dog that would love to offer her services as a emotional support dog to someone in need. Honey does have some faults but none that hold her back from life. She has a medium size hernia on her abdomen. The vet says it is not dangerous and wouldn't put her through any unnecessary surgeries for cosmetic reasons. Some of her teeth are a little loose and she must eat wet food, no dry and no hard biscuits (we soak her biscuits and she happily eats them). Here at the Haven she receives home cooked nutritious meals along with supplements to keep her healthy. She has made remarkable progress in the last 2 months here. At first she snapped at other dogs but we have realized since it was because of her health. Recently she has come through and likes to play with the other little ones here... a total turnabout from what she first was. Much of this is due to good diet and supplements. Her adopter will receive the recipe and information on the supplements to keep her healthy in her remaining years. If you have the time to care for a little companion and need someone to keep you company... Honey is perfect and waiting for you. Her adoption fee $150.
