My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasper is a beautiful 10 year old hound that is currently going through heartworm treatment. He will be finished treatment in July. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had a dental. He was dumped at the Caddo Parish, LA shelter just like so many dogs down here are dumped. He was a bit timid when he came into rescue but has really warmed up now that he is in rescue and only being shown kindness.
Our adoption fee of $300 can be lowered a bit due to his age. Jasper is still in New Orleans with Looziana Basset Rescue but can be easily transported to Putnam, CT using Rescue Road Trips for an additional $185.
We love this boy and want the remaining years of his life to be filled with happiness. Please email QueenB534@aol.com for more information. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption. We also require that our dogs be on monthly year round heartworm prevention.
