WHY IS THIS DOG IN NEED??- This little girl was received from a person that bought her from a breeding mill's kijiji ad.
WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- She is heading to London to be fostered with Violet. She was initially fostered in the Cambridge area with 2 larger breed dogs, 2 adults, 2 bunnies and a tortoise until July 24th but they could not foster anymore due to changes in the home.
** REQUIREMENTS FOR OMA **
- secure fenced yard for a small dog
- an existing dog in the home { visiting dogs are not enough}
SHE IS LOOKING FOR A HOME WITH ANOTHER DOG OF THE SAME SIZE/ ENERGY IS PREFERRED - SHE TAKES COMFORT IN SITTING WITH THEM - SHE DOES BEST IN A FENCED YARD AS SHE LIKES TO LAY IN SUN WITH OTHER DOGS AND IS AFRAID OF THE LEASH FOR THE MOST PART - SHE IS FINE WITH ALL SIZES OF DOGS - AND PREFERS TO BE IN THEIR COMPANY AT ALL TIMES
-experienced owner who knows how to manage a fearful dog, the strict requirements to ensure their safety and comfort level at all times.
-Quiet home/ community to not overwhelm her
-no children as she is skittish and bolts when fearful.
she went to our vet March 17th for a dental consult, and had vaccines, deworm, chip and she was spayed and had dental cleaning and extractions on June 8th- adoption fee is $450
** ALL ABOUT OMA **
this poor dog was in a cage and bred for 5 years
she was then sold on kijiji to a person who had no idea the mental or medical neglect she lived thru
they contacted us and had us take her in Feb 25th
she would not even walk for the buyer - but -
at the foster home she is thriving with their dogs
she is also coming along with humans but is extremely shy
Oma was purchased off kijiji from a retiring breeder
This woman sold the dogs to unsuspecting pet lovers and did not disclose the mental and physical neglect her dogs went thru
The dogs are subjected to having their space invaded by strangers while they try to nurse their babies
They have no vetting and always have rotten teeth
Oma also has a big scar on her head
The buyer could not get her to walk as she was frozen in fear
She could not afford her necessary vetting and
she surrendered her to us
We took her for a dental consult and had bloodwork done. We put her on the raw diet to lower her blood sugar and help her teeth while she recuperated enough to have spay/dental
Oma is doing well now
She is still afraid of being abused and prefers the company of dogs to humans but will sit beside you if they are
Oma is 5 yr old
She needs a quiet home, no kids
She needs another dog for companionship
A fenced yard is a must as she loves to lay in the sun and is not used to or happy about a leash
We welcome your application for consideration .

*** HOW IT WORKS - ADOPTION INFORMATION ****
Please read ** ALL** the information provided below on the process to
save time and facilitate the process in a smooth manner.
The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - If you cannot afford the adoption fee
(that is a fraction of actual REDUCED VETTING expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting.
These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed.
Pets should never be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong.
