My story

Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Lexie is a sweet, loving girl and would be a great addition to your family. When she first arrived to our rescue, she could be a bit timid at times and wasn't sure what to think of humans. She has blossomed into the most affectionate family dog. She loves kids and other dogs - she doesn't mind cats, either. She will have conversations with you and won't pass up a chance to squeeze herself into your lap.

Lexie tested heartworm positive when she arrived but has since received heartworm treatment. She may still test positive for up to 6 months on a heartworm test, but she is healthy now and ready to find a family of her own. All of her veterinary records will be sent with her to her new family and our vet is also available for consultation regarding her treatment.

Our dogs are fostered in Mississippi until they are adopted. Our adoption fee is $400 and covers her spay, vaccinations, nose to tail vet check, and all transport costs.

All pets adopted through Second Chances Animal Rescue are spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility.
