My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Even though this girl's name is Sukha, don't let that translation fool you....she has got energy! Happy as a can be with life, she will not let you down in the entertainment department. On walks one of her favorite things to do is see how many times she can go through your legs. We think that is her Border Collie traits coming out. Sukha and her sister Sthira came into the shelter as strays. We saw both their faces staring from behind the bars and couldn't bear to leave them behind! When they first got to our facility they were so nervous they wouldn't even walk on a leash. Now just after one week they can't wait for their daily walks! Sukha is a young dog who will need lots of daily exercise as well as all her basic training. Contact The Pet Rescue Center if you think she is a good match for your family!

ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. The Pet Rescue Center is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
