My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name's Piglet and I found myself in rescue after my previous owners discovered that their new baby was allergic to animal dander. I'm about 13 years young but, as they say, age is just a number! I'm a happy mature girl with zest for life! I do sleep a lot but I also enjoy bounding around the house on my long legs and playing with plushie toys! Will you play fetch and tug-o-war with me?

I enjoy short daily walks but the heat wears me out quickly so let's not go too far. My favorite thing in the world is being next to my human(s) and I will be your shadow so please be careful not to trip over me. I also have an ear issue which can affect my balance causing me to stumble a little bit sometimes.  Because of my age, I would probably do best in a home without young children. That being said, I'd love it if you let me on the couch to curl up next to you and also let me sleep in bed with you at night. Being that my human(s) are so important to me, I get a little bit of separation anxiety. I can't be crated because I get so anxious that I rub my nose raw on the crate sides. I'd be happiest in a home where my human is home most of the time. I get along very well with other dogs of all sizes and my previous owners had a cat that I also got on well with. I am around birds in my foster home and I rarely even notice they're there. If you welcome me into your home and promise to love me, I promise to be your very best friend and love you even more.

Piglet Acres is 13 years old and weighs about 19 pounds.
