Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear is ready for adventure in the Pacific northwest! He's around 2 years old, 55 pounds, and loves people!
So far Bear has shown himself to be wonderfully well behaved at both the vet and groomer, and he's great at moderating himself to match the temperament of the dogs he's around; if they want to play then so does he!
He's also great at fitting in with his people, which is where he wants to be the most, so we are hoping to find someone for Bear that works from home, is retired or can take him to work(but without a lot of nose to nose contact). But if you like outdoor activities then so does he. If it's more of a rainy indoor day he's content to be mellow and veg out with you too. He truly has the perfect temperament if it wasn't for his anxiety about being abandoned! When he is with his person, he is sheer perfection.
Bear is a great dog, ready for his forever home! Due to his size and temperament he would not be a good fit for households with cats or small kids, though older kids would probably be okay. Bear has developed separation anxiety after his time in the shelter and needs to either go to a home where someone is around most of the time and/or to someone who is willing to work on this issue with him. He would love a female dog companion...he loves to play with his foster sister and enjoys meeting the dogs of all sizes at his foster mom's work...he just seems to be more choosy with the male dogs so a female dog as a companion would be a better choice.
Bear's adoption donation is $300. Love A Mutt Pet Rescue is a 501c3 public charity. All monies go to cover vet bills and help other dogs in need.
Thanks for considering a rescue.
