Only Colorado adopters will be considered at this time. A completed adoption application and a home check are required steps in our adoption process. Our application can be downloaded at: http://denversamoyedrescue.org/dsr_application.htm.

Marshmallow is an 2.5 year old female Samoyed. She is lovely, well-tempered girl. She is very tall for a female Samoyed (approximately 23"; at the shoulders), and 85 pounds (she is overweight by 15 pounds or more). She is excellent with other dogs, and currently lives with another male Samoyed and female Alaskan Malamute. She id NOT good with cats. She knows basic obedience commands. She is house trained. She rides quietly in a dog crate in the car. She walks well on a leash, but can show her strength when she sees squirrels. She will respond to being redirected. We believe she will be good around children. She tolerate long grooming sessions.

Marshmallow is an owner surrender. Her prior owner is elderly and was involved in a very serious car accident. Her recovery requires all her energy and is no longer able to care for a dog. She had purchased Marshmallow as a puppy. She was well-loved.

Only adopters with a secure fenced yard, minimum 5 feet high will be considered. Again, no cats in household. Our preference is an active family that will be committed to her weight loss program, so that she can realize a healthier, happier lifestyle!
