My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Enzo is a sweet, middle-aged guy who’s been through a lot in life.

On Easter weekend 2011, the Corridor volunteers were notified of a litter of puppies that had been dumped in a field in The Corridor of Cruelty. They rushed to the field and found 13 puppies discarded like trash. Enzo was one of the first to be adopted. He had hit the jackpot, or so he thought. When Enzo was approximately 10 months old his family discovered he had bilateral hip dysplasia and he was returned to our rescue.

Enzo went into foster care with a wonderful family with two children and two dogs where he resided for a year. During that time he had surgery to repair both hips and was as good as new! Enzo was once again adopted, and for approximately two years, life was great. He had children to play with and was loved. Then out of the blue Corridor Rescue received an email from his family saying they got a new puppy and Enzo was no longer fitting in.

Since that time Enzo has been in boarding. Everyone who meets him reports he is a wonderful dog and a perfect gentleman. He would love a foster or better yet, a true, finally forever family. He often gets overlooked at adoption events because he is 5 years old. But because Enzo is a little older, he is polite, crate-trained and has outgrown the destructive puppy stage. He’s also housebroken and calm. He can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up.

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75.

The adoption fee of $200 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.

Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org under More Information.

Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
