JETHRO and his sister ELLIE MAE were named after the characters in the Beverly Hillbillies! JETHRO is an adorable lab mix who as of 5/9/2016 is around 5.5 months and 40 pounds. Jethro is a little bit shy at first but warms up quickly and (like a typical lab) will love you forever once he knows you. He soaks up affection and is crazy about chasing balls. JETHRO has been in a foster home with both large and small dogs and gets along great with all! He hasn't met any kitty cats yet, but this boy is so sweet we are confident he can easily learn to share a home with feline family members. He is crate trained and knows he is supposed to potty outside. As long as he is kept on a regular schedule, he is great on his potty training. JETHRO is a total sweetheart and will make a great lifetime companion for his lucky forever family!

JETHRO is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to the New England area.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
